Throw The Balls Away! (And Have Fun)
Throw The Balls Away! (And Have Fun) is the very first show by CoPeCky to be put on stage. It is a non-verbal clowning show that uses a wide range of physicality and expressiveness to create moments of laughter and emotiveness. It depicts two clowns, one happy and colourful, and the other grumpy and dull. The show promotes the importance of breaking out of one’s comfort zone, with the colourful clown slowly brightening up a spark of life in her clown friend with fun and carefree activities.
I put this show together, devising each scene from moments of improvisation. Working with Millie Boyes on makeup and backstage; Jack Moran on lighting and sound as well as backstage; Ben Weir giving feedback; and Molly Owen on props.

FUSE International Festival
I wrapped up my second year at university bringing a brand new clowning performance to the FUSE International Festival in London, on the 29th of June 2024- Who's The Best Fool?
I devised the performance, adapting it to the festival setting for an outdoors space. This eye catching and care-free fun for all ages show told the story about two very competitive clowns who gave their all into juggling, playing music, as well as doing physical tricks.
Future shows coming soon!

I was so entertained throughout the show and always kept on my toes, I never knew what was going to happen next! It was very well created and performed, I want more shows now!!!

‘CoPeCky’ is one of my favorite plays I’ve ever watched!! Both actor’s face and movements were very expressive, and the excitement imagining what happens next made me enjoy the show until its end. The use of props in the show reflects the opposite personalities of 2 characters well, and I really liked how and when the actors used those props. If I could, I’d like to watch ‘CoPeCky’ again!!

"Sometimes it feels like slapstick is a lost art, but watching Vicky and Ben perform really made me feel like a kid watching old 'Laurel and Hardy' DVD's again. Being able to experience something new that brought out that same laughter, was really special"
- Robert Beaston on "Throw The Balls Away! (And Have Fun)"
It was an honour to see the first ever CoPeCky performance live at York St John in The Creative Centre
Vicky’s vibrant and warm personality shone through in her portrayal of the ‘Happy Clown’. The character was a true ray of sunshine with an infectious smile.
Ben’s portrayal of the ‘Grumpy Clown’ hilariously contrasted with Vicky. His comedic timing was spot on, and made the moody character surprisingly likeable. Especially when he told the happy clown to ‘piss off’, with a kazoo in his mouth!
It was clear that both actors had carefully studied clowning techniques. These were performed very professionally.
