Comedy as a Tool for Activism on Racial and Social Justice - 2025

During Easter, 2025, I have been selected to present my work and research in a conference for a call for papers on using comedy as a tool for activism on racial and social justice. This took place in Manchester Metropolitan University, and all costs were funded by the organisation, Mixed Bill.

It was a key moment of my academic research journey, as all the presenters either already had or were about to finish their PhD's. Whilst I was able to bring a new perspective to the field with my own research undergoing with my undergraduate degree; receiving many positive responses from fellow researchers.

Out of Character- Theatre Company - 2024/2025

I have been working with Theatre Company Out of Character, designing, programming, and operating the lighting for their shows as well as operating sound; on the side of being the production manager for the theatre company, when performing Out of the Box (2024) and Chaos (2025).

York International Shakespeare Festival - 2024

I have been part of both shows and production management for the York International Shakespeare Festival, working for Philip Parr, Chair of European Shakespeare, and Parrabbola Project.

This opportunity allowed me to gain a plethora of experiences throughout the festival. One being that I performed in the production of Working Title, directed by Phillip Parr. This show was in collaboration with Ukrainian actors, two of which are members of the National Theatre of Ivano-Frankivsk.

In this festival, I also had the opportunity to be the off and onstage dresser for Actor Debra-Ann Byrd, as part of the show Becoming Othello: A Black Girl's Journey. Later in the festival, we took the show to the Shakespeare North Playhouse in Liverpool.

Craiova International Shakespeare Festival - 2024

In summer 2024, I travelled to Romania to perform as a fool in the recreation of a village from the Elizabethan era, every day of the two-weeks-long biggest Shakespeare festival in the world, Festivalul International Shakespeare Craiova; taken there by Philip Parr, as part of the Parrabbola Project.
